SAT prep becomes available soon

By Erik Hopkins, staff reporter.

Delta’s Lifelong Learning department is offering eight opportunities for a one-day crash course into the SAT. Their goal is to help you by arming you with general test taking strategies, give you practice tests to adjust your techniques to fit you best, and to help you build a confident approach to taking the SAT.

The 5 ½ hour long course, taught by Education Professional Felesia Harrel, aims to help you improve your overall SAT score.

Whether you’re a first time SAT taker or a re-taker, the course has been set up specifically to heighten scores.

“These sessions provide successful information to raise the success rate,” says Susan Voss of Delta’s Lifelong Learning.

Delta’s Lifelong Learning team assures that their courses are set up specifically with the strategies and drills to help you learn how to approach the tests key subjects like Math, Critical Reading, Writing, and essay writing.

“Lots of participants have said they’ve found it helpful in preparation for the exam, and the prep course itself was a positive learning experience,” says Voss.

All courses take place on Delta College’s main campus from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. with a fee of $99. Course dates are as follows: Nov. 19, Jan. 21, Feb. 4, Feb. 18, March 4, March 18, April 8, April 29.
