Zehnder’s Snowfest is happening this week

For 33 years, Frankenmuth has transformed into a winter wonderland during Zehnder’s Snowfest. This celebration of ice and snow offers something for the whole family. The festival starts Jan. 24 and lasts until Jan. 28.

Prepare to be snow-struck by the epic ice sculptures that take center stage at Snowfest. Watch as professional carvers transform blocks of ice into frozen masterpieces and beautiful snow sculptures. From mythical creatures to life-size characters, the artistic talent is sure to leave you in awe.

Beyond the fascinating finished ice sculptures, Snowfest features teams of skilled carvers competing in the Alumni Collegiate Ice Carving Challenge and the State of Michigan Snow Sculpting Competition.

Snowfest provides plenty of opportunities to warm up and enjoy family-friendly activities. The heated warming tent has live music, food, and hot cocoa—a perfect escape from the winter chill. There will be a dedicated play area for the kids, complete with inflatables, games, and even a petting zoo.
