Visiting artist comes to Delta

Delta College will be welcoming renowned artist Israel “Izzy” Davis to campus on April 9 for a lecture and closing reception of the visiting artist exhibition in the S-Wing. Davis is a resident of Grand Rapids, and is a professor of ceramics at Central Michigan University.

Davis has had his work in more than 100 exhibitions across the United States and has participated in numerous residencies around the world. Davis’ most recent residency was at the Red Lodge Clay Center in Red Lodge, Mont. where he created his “Devil-May-Care” series of works.

The lecture and closing reception is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m in room S-105. Davis will be holding Class workshops earlier in the day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There are a limited number of seats available, if you are interested contact Melanie Fisher at melaniefisher@delta.edu.
