Mariah Carrey has taken over the airwaves, you know what that means? The holidays are here, and Delta College welcomes its student body to take part in some festive activities on Campus and more to explore around the area.

All month long the Delta College Planetarium will be playing “Let it Snow,” a holiday experience that features wall-to-wall Christmas imagery in a 360 format. The Planetarium will also host screenings of “Life Under the Arctic Sky” which follows the Sami people from Northern Scandinavia following their reindeer migration. All screenings are family friend and appropriate for all ages. The Delta College Planetarium is located in Downtown Bay City at 100 Center Ave.

On Dec. 13, be sure to catch the Delta College basketball teams taking on Owens Community College in thrilling ball court action. Watch our women’s team take the court at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men’s game to close out the night at 7:30 p.m. Don’t miss the last games of the fall season at the Pioneer gymnasium!

The end of the semester is almost upon us. The third week of December will be the last week of classes for the year before students and staff take their holiday break. Make sure to attend the registration lab on Dec. 13 to ensure that your classes are registered for the winter 2024 semester.

When all is said and done, go check out the local holiday sights such as Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth. The Mid-Michigan area is home to many festive functions such as Bay City’s Santa Claus house or Dow Gardens Christmas at the Pines in Midland. There is no shortage of holiday fun this time of year.
