Studio 29, a new student produced show, will air on Nov. 19 at 11 p.m. on Q-TV. This is the first semester the class that produces the show – Studio Productions II – has been offered.
“I wanted to not only help student competency on the equipment,” says Danielle Wright, who instructs the course, “but also develop a show that would bring a younger demographic to Q-TV.”
The students in Studio Production II created the show’s idea, music, graphics, and set all from scratch to have come up with Studio 29. The Studio 29 set, located in the Delta College television studio, has a coffeehouse atmosphere and is geared towards young adults. It features film reviews, life hacks, food tips, and ways to save money all in the relaxed, fun, coffeehouse atmosphere.
“Our first episode we’re talking about movies, coffee, and do-it-yourself life-hacks,” says Jesse Metz, and Electronic Media Broadcasting Student, and host of the show.
“It was a really rewarding experience filming the first episode and seeing everyone’s hard work come together,” says Metz, “It was a little nerve-wrecking heading into it but everybody brought their best.”
Future Studio Productions II students will create their own segments of Studio 29 that will feature their own ideas for ways to enhance the lives of their audience.
