Men’s basketball goes cold in the second half against North Central Michigan

University Center, MI – The Delta College men’s basketball held a 40-37 lead heading into the second half of their Jan. 20 matchup against the NCMC Timberwolves. But, they came out cold in the second half and fell behind.

After making the first bucket of the second half, Delta went cold and were held scoreless for five minutes. They wouldn’t recover from this, losing by a score of 87-74.

Delta was led by a strong performance by Freshman Ja’Vion Blackwell who had 19 points and 9 rebounds. Sophomore Lewis Covile had a strong game as well, with 10 points and 8 rebounds. 

Delta’s next matchup is this Wednesday, Jan. 24. It is a home game against the Mid-Michigan College Lakers. The Lakers have a 10-6 record and are on a two game win streak.
