Dorian Phelps, Delta’s Downtown Saginaw Center coordinator, has earned the 2024 Spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. Award.
Phelps has been actively involved with the Saginaw Academy of Excellence (SAE) since 2022. This, and her unwavering support for Delta’s students, especially those at SAE, represents King’s ideals. Her dedication earned her recognition with this award from Delta’s Black Faculty and Staff Association.
The award honors those who embody King’s leadership, vision, and commitment to community service. The presentation takes place at the 28th Annual Unity Luncheon on Monday, Jan. 15.
