Alaska’s ‘Fiddling Poet’ is coming to Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT – On Jan. 28, don’t miss out on your chance to see ‘Alaska’s Fiddling Poet,’ Ken Waldman. 

The concert will be held in the Morey Family Gallery at Art Reach on 111 E. Broadway Street. Tickets to attend the concert or workshop start at $15. For $20, you can attend both the concert and workshop. The workshop for aspiring creative minds is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Waldman’s concert is from 1:30 to 2:30.

Waldman is most known for his Appalachian style of poetry and music with his instruments ranging from fiddles to banjos. The former college professor has performed all around the world, appearing both at concerts and workshops. These artistic workshops help students build and focus on their art creativity along with getting their art out into the public. 

Waldman also has a large publication of poetry books, children’s books and novels. Each book is a collection of stories and poetic stories based on Waldman’s life living in Alaska. As well as a series of Trump satire poetry.
