Are you having trouble finding a job? Delta’s Career Services department exists to assist students and alumni in finding employment. On top of the resources provided in their office, such as guidance, career assessments, specific industry information and job outlook, Career Services also hosts job fairs such as the student employment fair hosted on Wednesday, Jan 26.
Tables were lined up at the end of the E-wing main hallway featuring representatives from various departments and organizations looking to hire students for on and off-campus positions.
Foot traffic was standard in the E-wing though a reasonable amount of students consistently stopped to learn more about the positions being offered.
“I think we had a very good turn out,” says Academic Career Experience Faculty Coordinator Beth Beauchamp.
Job seekers, such as sophomore health fitness major William Diaz, found the event to be advantageous.
“Some interesting opportunities were presented,” says Diaz.
The occasion was accommodating for those that were impartial about their employment, but not for those seeking to begin a career.
“I wasn’t particularly interested, just because I already know what I want to do,” says sophomore Andrew Richards, an electrical engineering major.
The Career Services Department can be contacted at 989-686-9072 or jobplace@delta.edu. Their office is located at D-102.
