Like the Women’s team, the Men’s squad fell behind early due to the hot-shooting hand of Daton Aaron. Two three-pointers early forced Delta to call timeout, but the Pioneers responded in a big way, with threes of their own.
Julian Henderson, Ben Batts, Jaylen Randle and Davian Phillips all hit three pointers in the first half, which propelled Delta to a 54-39 lead at half. The hot shooting of Aaron, Tyler Robinson and John Merriweather kept Henry Ford in this game for a while.
But in the second half, Delta took care of business. The second half was a team effort, with almost everyone on the Pioneers chipping in with a bucket. They were 2 points short of 100, but once again, the Pioneers win, 98-76.
Leading the way for Delta was Julian Henderson with 26, Ben Batts with 19, Jaylen Randle with 15 and Davian Phillips with 14.
For Henry Ford, Daton Aaron had 33, while Tyler Robinson had 19 and John Merriweather 16. Andre Hayes also chipped in with 6.
