Zehnder’s Snowfest is back!

Zehnder’s Snowfest is back for its 35th year in Frankenmuth, MI, starting on Jan. 28 and ending on Feb. 1. Some of the festivities include the World Snow Carving Championships, the State of Michigan Snow Sculpting Competition and children’s snow sculpting.

The World Snow Carving Championships run from Jan. 28 to Jan. 30, where teams will compete in either the
Double Block (10x10x20 foot) or the Single Block (10x10x10) championship. Awards will be given out Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. in the Warming Tent.

The State of Michigan Snow Sculpting Competition will also be taking place from Jan 28 to Jan. 30 and will see
up to 19 teams of three compete to be the representative in the 2027 U.S. National Snow Sculpting Championship. Awards for this event will be given out on Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. in the Warming Tent.

Children’s snow sculpting will take place on Jan. 28 and Jan 29, with over 200 elementary students from area
schools sculpting with small blocks.
