The Bay County write-in candidates for the Delta College Board of Trustees will have the opportunity to participate in a public forum Wednesday, Oct. 22. The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Delta Chapter will host the event from 4-5:30 p.m. in S105 on Delta’s campus.
According to an announcement from the AAUP, “Two of the three candidates will be in attendance: Char Davenport, adjunct instructor of English, Delta College and Diane Middleton, director of community programs with the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce. John Wright, the third write-in candidate, did not return phone messages concerning participation. Wright is a bailiff in the Tuscola County court system and a criminal justice instructor at Ferris State University”.
The forum will last 90 minutes. Each candidate will be given 5-10 minutes at the beginning for introductions.
Voters from all counties are encouraged to attend, as all candidates running for the Delta College board appear on ballots in all three of the counties Delta serves: Bay, Midland, and Saginaw.
The forum is free and open to the public.
