Delta College hosts Poetry and Conversation with Nandi Comer, one of Michigan’s own most prestigious poets
Get ready for an inspiring afternoon with Nandi Comer, Michigan’s very own Poet Laureate! Delta College’s Humanities Learning Center is thrilled to host this special event.
Warning: Prepare to be starstruck! There will be an opportunity for you to meet Nandi Comer at a reception starting at 11:15 a.m. in the Founders Hall. Although the flier states 11 a.m. the reception starts a bit later at 11:15 a.m. due to a fire drill.
Nandi Comer isn’t just any poet — she’s the author of American Family: A Syndrome and Tapping Out, both of which have received prestigious awards. She’s been recognized as a Cave Canem Fellow, a Callaloo Fellow, and a 2019 Kresge Arts in Detroit Fellow. Plus, she’s the co-director of Detroit Lit. Talk about impressive!
