Calling all space and film enthusiasts! Planetarium manager, Mike Murray, and coordinator, Nancy Douglas, have put programs together for the upcoming month of September. The programs vary to appease all age groups.
Did you ever wonder what keeps the universe in place or why our universe looks the way it does? Join the planetarium on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. to learn about the oddness of dark matter and how we know it exists by stopping by a showing of “The Dark Matter Mystery.”
Saturdays at 2 p.m. will be playing the Zula Patrol, which sends you on an adventure to help Multo, a scientist, with collecting different weather samples using the team’s pet, Gorga’s, abilities. Learn the different weather on earth and on other planets, the similarities and differences and get to watch the big surprise in the end of “Zula Patrol: Under the Weather.”
Find out what it takes to become an astronaut in the film “Astronaut.” Airing Saturdays at 3 p.m., (except for Sept. 10), this film will take you into the present night sky, on a journey to become an astronaut and show you what perils await in space.
Saturdays at 7 p.m. (with the exception of the Sept. 24) “Edge of Darkness” will be the featured film. “Edge of Darkness” shows the discoveries of never before seen depths of space.
