Tune in to ABC to watch on TV, or watch it online from ABC’s website or app.

Here’s the list of nominees, plus our predictions as to who will take home an Oscar.

Best Picture

“Joker”

This was a superhero origin story that felt like a new type of film all around. The cinematography was gorgeous and told as much of the film as the writing. The actors’ quirkiness ensnared the audience in the film.

Best Actor

Joaquin Phoenix

Not only was his performance in the Joker outstanding, Phoenix really put himself into the role. Working incredibly hard at becoming the Joker — figuring out his signature laugh and look to set him apart from past Jokers.

Best Supporting Actor

Tom Hanks

It’s Tom friggin Hanks. C’mon.

Best Actress

Scarlett Johansson

“Marriage Story” came out and took the world by storm. Johansson’s performance alongside Adam Driver was really what made the movie worthwhile. She delivered excellence in her portrayal of a mother who’s coming into her own amidst a divorce.

Best Supporting Actress

Florence Pugh

Through her short acting career, Pugh has dominated the scene by portraying a grand showcase of various characters all across the genre spectrum. Her work in “Little Women” only helped to showcase that talent further.

Best Director

Bong Joon-ho

“Parasite” is a rollercoaster of a film. It leads you in one direction and then you’re on a totally different trail, yet still enjoying the scenery. Films work because of the director’s creative vision, and “Parasite” would not have worked as well as it did without Joon-ho behind it.

Best Music Score

“Little Women” by Alexandre Desplat

This score presents a wonderful and animated set of tunes that capture the lively and fleeting feelings people can have, especially with their siblings.

Best Animated Feature

“Klaus”

Sergio Pablos makes his directorial debut with this animated feature and with it, brings a breath of fresh air. “Klaus” is a wholesome, sappy delight to watch with a fun animation style.
