Looking for fun indoor activities to kill time this winter? Here’s a list of some of the best things to do in the region.

Airborne Adventure Park, 2572 Tittabawassee Road, Saginaw

Airborne Adventure Park located at 2572 Tittabawassee Road in Saginaw has trampolines, slides, obstacle courses and sports for people above the age of five to enjoy. Day passes are $33, but they also offer 90 minute sessions for $23 and 120 minute sessions for $26. The park is open all week and hosts certain events such as Little Adventurers from 10am-11am, which allows children under the age of five to enjoy a safer version of the park. There is also GLOW on Fridays and Saturdays where the black lights go on and the lasers come out. The park also offers food and beverages for people to enjoy and refuel.

Urban Air Adventure & Trampoline, 3177 Bay Plaza Drive, Saginaw

Another exhilarating, family-friendly indoor activity is Saginaw’s Urban Air Adventure & Trampoline at 3177 Bay Plaza Drive. Not only do they have climbing walls, obstacles and trampolines, but laser tag, bumper cars and an indoor zipline too. Along with these activities, the park offers food and beverages for sale. The park is open seven days a week and passes include different activities ranging from $22.99-$33.99.

Stardust, 3750 Bay Road, Saginaw

Located at 3750 Bay Road, Stardust is a Saginaw classic when it comes to indoor entertainment. With bowling, laser tag, an arcade and escape rooms, it’s hard to run out of things to do. As well as the games and activities, the establishment has a restaurant and axe throwing for guests to enjoy. Open everyday of the week, Stardust is a hot spot for anyone looking for fun indoors.

Delta College Fitness Center and Pool, 1961 Delta Road, University 

An especially great option for students due to the discount, the Delta Fitness Center and Pool is available at 1961 Delta Road and is open seven days a week. The Fitness Center consists of a pool, a gym, a variety of courts, a cardio room and an aerobic studio. Not only is it a family-friendly option, but the Fitness Center is a great option to have fun while staying healthy. Students get 10 days of access free with proof of their enrollment.

Crazy Quarters Arcade, 401 Center Ave., Bay City

A family-friendly option that everyone will enjoy is Crazy Quarters Arcade located at 401 Center Ave. in Bay City. The arcade is open all week and has over 70 pinball machines, so bring your quarters! There is also a restaurant in the building so patrons can enjoy food, though the arcade makes it apparent no alcohol is allowed on the premises to maintain a family-friendly environment.

Painterly Pottery, 923 N Water St., Bay City

Painterly Pottery, the region’s largest contemporary “paint your own” pottery studio, is open Monday-Sunday in downtown Bay City at 923 N Water St. The studio provides premade pottery pieces for customers to purchase, as well as a wide selection of glazes to paint each piece. With a cozy environment and late night hours on Friday’s and Saturday’s, Painterly Pottery is a great option when looking for somewhere warm to hole up for a couple of hours. 

The studio offers unique discounts throughout the week; such as 25% off pottery and mosaics for students on Thursdays, or Ten Buck Tuesday, where featured items are only $10.

Delta Planetarium, 100 Center Ave., Bay City

If you’re looking for an interesting indoor activity to get you out of the cold, the Delta College Planetarium is a must. Offering student discounts for surreal shows ranging from Sesame Street to the Stars of the Pharaohs, the Delta Planetarium is a one-of-a-kind experience. The theater accommodates seniors and individuals with disabilities, and has interactive shows for children. The planetarium is located in Bay City at 100 Center Ave. and is open Monday-Saturday with varying hours.

If you’re looking for a fun indoor activity for any time of the day, NCG at 6540 Cinema Dr. in Midland is the perfect option. With a variety of shows playing throughout the day, as well as a wide selection of snacks and beverages, you’re bound to spot something that catches your eye. Midland’s NCG offers inclusive entertainment like sensory friendly showings.

Midland Mall, 6800 Eastman Ave., Midland

Although malls seem to be going out of style these days, the Midland Mall is becoming a popular destination for locals once again after welcoming new stores and restaurants. The mall is also working on building a new kid’s play zone with multiple layers of obstacles, slides and puzzles. Midland Mall is an easy and affordable option for individuals or families looking to enjoy a day out, whilst staying indoors. Located at 6800 Eastman Ave., the Midland Mall is open seven days a week, with store hours varying.

Valley Lanes, 5021 Bay City Road, Midland

Valley Lanes located at 5021 Bay City Road in Midland is more than just a bowling alley with some food. Valley Lanes has a restaurant inside the bowling alley with a large menu, along with an arcade that has laser tag, bumper cars, VR games and more. The bowling alley, restaurant and arcade are open everyday for guests entertainment and provide shoes and a ball with a corresponding purchase.
