A Freeland man was arrested after an investigation for the distribution of child sexually abusive material on the internet.
Benjamin Michael Clore, 43, a Freeland resident, was an assistant professor in the art department at Delta College.
Clore was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was taken from his home, according to Michigan State Police.
Police received information that Clore was allegedly viewing and distributing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet, MSP said.
MSP said that Clore was charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity, one count of possession of child sexually abusive material, and one count of using a computer to commit a criminal offense.
Clore was arraigned on Thursday, May 5, in District Court.
The attorney representing Clore is Jim Gust of Saginaw.
“Charges have been filed, he pleaded not guilty, and we are waiting for the court proceedings,” Gust said.
Clore posted a bond set at $60,000 and was seen before judge Jurrens Randall on May 12, according to court documents.
