Films, music and more: Hell’s Half Mile
The annual film and music festival returns
BAY CITY, MI – Bay City’s annual Hell’s Half Mile Festival, a film and music filled event, is returning this year Sept. 24-28. The event will be packed with short films to watch and music acts to see. The films range from horrors to comedies, to more sentimental. One film details the rise and disappearance of trans soul singer, Jackie Shane. The comedic work story, “Work Friends”, unfolds surrounding an intense decision. There will be music, and up-and-coming artists who give you new music to tune into, with performances every day.
Events will be held at the Old City Hall, the Delta Planetarium, and the Historic Masonic Temple, all in Bay City.
Keep a special eye out for Rovers, Rockets, and Rock ‘n Roll, a multi-dimensional planetarium show from Jason Achilles, a composer, rock instrumentalist, and producer who has worked with NASA. It will be screened twice; Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 27 at 3 p.m at the Planetarium.
