UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI – Delta’s Ja’leeah Griggs gave fans one more reason to cheer on Feb. 27 as Griggs sang the national anthem.
Griggs would play an amazing game and led Delta in points with 24 and 5 assists. Carah McCrum led in rebounds with 15 and put up 13 points. Delta was able to defend their home court one last time for the season beating Alpena.
Delta’s Hailee Jefferson was the first to put points on the board and Delta would keep the lead throughout the game. The first half would end with Delta up 34-27; Delta would further the lead in the second half, ending 72-61.
When asked about the season Amari’A Campbell said, “We faced a lot of adversity, but we’ve been holding it down.”
Delta has had an impressive February winning 5 of 8 games, and this win brings their overall record to 7-13.
