On April 1 alternative metal band Deftones is coming to the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Joining Deftones will be grunge gaze band Fleshwater and progressive rock legends The Mars Volta. The show will start at 7 p.m. and tickets start at $62.
Deftones was formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. Members include vocalist Chino Moreno, guitarist Stephen Carpenter and drummer Abe Cunnigham. During the late 1990s and early 2000s nu metal movement Deftones sound stood out from their peers.
Although still having roots in hip hop, they added elements of shoegaze and alternative rock to cement themselves as one of the most notable bands from the early 2000s. The band continues to dominate on streaming services.
