Scouting America’s Michigan Crossroads Council will be hosting multiple in-person events across Michigan, including one at the USS Edson in Bay City.

The events will honor those who lost their life on Sept. 11, first responders and service members. Eight in-person locations have been identified in Michigan: one location local to Bay City is The Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum located on Martin Street. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., community members and families will be able to honor those who died on the attacks of Sept. 11 at the USS Edson, a retired U.S. Navy destroyer ship.

This year will be the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on Sept. 11 and will be the 23rd year for the annual events. If you are not able to attend any in-person events they can be viewed virtually on Facebook, and you are invited to share event or saluting photos on the Michigan Crossroads Council – Scouting America facebook page.Pre-registration is required to attend the events and can be done online. Anyone looking to pre-register or find more information should visit the event’s webpage.
