SAGINAW – Please join Nosotros Los Latinos magazine in honoring Cesar Chavez, an American labor leader and civil rights activist, with a solidarity walk on Friday, March 31, at 4:15 p.m.
“You cannot oppress the people who are not afraid anymore.” – Cesar Chavez
The solidarity walk will begin with guests meeting at Delta College’s free parking lot located at North Jefferson Avenue and Johnson Street. The walk will end at Delta College Downtown Saginaw Center, 319 East Genesee Avenue.
This free family event will include Mexican hot chocolate and pan dulce. Guests even have a chance of getting a free shirt on a first come, first serve basis. There will also be a short program in the 101 multipurpose room.
The event will include the following four speakers,
- Dr. Grant, President of Saginaw Valley State University
- Dr. Gavin, President of Delta College
- Delta college students from the Society of Hispanic Leaders
- Guest speaker John Ayala.
