Working out is a drag. Apps, diets, workout videos – the material that’s supposed to help curb stomp our laziness doesn’t always work. ATLETO has redefined the way college students work out with a fitness app available for their phones.
“ATLETO is different because it gives users the ability to host or join activities in almost every sport on the market rather than confining them to a single favorite sport or hobby,” says CEO and co-found Patrick Lundgren, “This allows athletes to not only play their typical go-to sport, but also learn new skills while building their sports network.”
There are over 40 different sports activities to be chosen from that’ll help people connect with locals that share the same interests. The ATLETO fitness app is out to help connect like-minded athletes around campus of a similar skill level and even sharing some of the same interests.
Using the app is aimed to connect students over the sports they love by hosting a run around campus or even playing a competitive game of flag football. After hosting or joining a workout, athletes can rate one another using the “knuckles” feature representing their effort and sportsmanship.
To sign up for ATLETO, enter a user email address and select the relevant sports. After that, the user is ready to host or join an activity. The app’s geolocation feature automatically connects the user with others in the area where they are active, like Pokémon GO with humans.
ATLETO is available for download on Apple and Android devices.
