All Water Tastes Different

While some people will say that water is flavorless, or they do not like the taste. I say all water tastes different. The different taste or flavor comes from where the journey of the water. There are nine different types of water, including mineral water, spring or glacier water, distilled water, purified water, alkaline water, well water, infused water, sparkling, and tap water.

Mineral water comes from a mineral spring. I am not too fond of mineral water because all the minerals give it a sour taste. Spring or glacier waters are from a spring or glacier and then filtered to remove possible contaminants. I will drink spring water, but it tastes almost like dirty water to me. Distilled water goes through a process to remove impurities, containing no bacteria and a small number of contaminants. Distilled water contains no vitamins or minerals, so there are no health benefits. This reason alone is why I am not too fond of distilled water.

Purified water has gone through a process to eliminate chemical pollutants, bacteria, fungi, and parasites. It has no taste or smell, and I believe there are no minerals or trace elements. Alkaline, my go-to water, is known for a higher pH level than regular tap water. It has various health benefits that have helped increase the popularity of alkaline. Sink (well) water comes right from the dirt and carries several risks. In my opinion, well water has a metallic taste. Infused water like Propel water can offer a tasty alternative to plain water, making it easier to drink. I do not mind drinking a propel because the sweetest in it is suitable for a soda replacement. Sparkling water offers a different type of water. Honestly, I would not say I like the taste of sparkling water because it is fizzy. Tap water is piped water found everywhere. Tap water is also cheaper than buying types of bottled water. I often fill up water bottles with our tap water, it is more affordable, and the taste isn’t bad.

Additionally, everyone’s taste receptors are different, so good tasting water for one person might be gross tasting water for another. While some people say that water is flavorless, and some refuse to drink plain water because they don’t like its taste, that is not entirely true because the different taste or flavor comes from the journey of the water. Whether the brand or type of bottled water you drink, why not enjoy the taste of what you’re fueling your body. What is your favorite bottled water?
