By Samuel Philpot

Award season is here! With many big-name artists and hit songs nominated, it’ll be another spectacular show.

The 62nd annual Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. The host this year is Alicia Keys and there will, of course, be plenty of other music guest stars. New artists Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish are making appearances, and music legends such as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande are returning.

Tune in to CBS to watch on your TV. If you need to watch it online, CBS All Access has you covered.

Here’s the list of nominees, as well as our own predictions as to who will take home a Grammy.

Record of the Year

“Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus

When this song came out, everyone lost it. This remix caused an uproar with both the country and hip hop communities. Even though it was overplayed, it somehow never got annoying. My own opinions aside, this song spent 19 weeks in the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s almost a guarantee.

Album of the Year

“Thank You, Next” by Ariana Grande

This album debuted three songs that occupied the first, second and third spots on the Hot 100 at the same time. It’s already ranked at number one on Billboard and Rolling Stones for 2019; it’s sure to collect another award for 2020.

Song of the Year

“Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish

“Bad Guy” came out and dethroned “Old Town Road” from its record-breaking run on the Hot 100 list. Eilish’s song swooped in and topped the charts in 11 countries. This song has already won eight awards and it’s safe to say that it’s going to win this Grammy as well.

Best New Artist

Billie Eilish

When Billie Eilish became popular, she blew up. It felt like every other artist was instantly forgotten about. With her odd, in-your-face style, she brought a whole new level to the pop game. Best New Artist almost seems like no contest.
