The Piano Guys is a group of four dads who love to make music for a living. Pianist Jon Schmidt, cellist Steven Sharp Nelson, singer/songwriter Al van der Beek and producer Paul Anderson make up a group that loves to share their talent with the world. They performed at the Midland Center for the Arts Sept. 15. as part of their “Uncharted” tour.
Their sound is based on renditions of current, popular songs with a twist of old school classics. Some of their most popular songs include “A Thousand Years,” “Titanium/Pavane,” and “Beethoven’s 5 Secrets.”
The Piano Guys have a new album “Uncharted” is on sale for pre-order now. Their new music video of their newest original song “Okay” premiered on Monday, Sept. 19.
